Welcome to Kilikia dance group! E-mail

We are a Nottingham-based dance group specialising in Armenian dancing.

We began in August 2007 although several members have been dancing Armenian folk dance for several years.

Read the history of how we arrived at setting up the group.

Through our performances we love sharing our enthusiasm for the dances, music and culture of Armenia, a very small country in the Caucasus with a very rich heritage. We can include presentations and slide-shows about Armenia in our events.

Armenia is still a developing country and through our activities we organise fund-raising events to raise money towards humanitarian projects.

We named our group ‘Kilikia’ after the Kilikian kingdom of Armenia which is considered to be the golden age in Armenian history. It existed for 300 years in medieval time and the last king of Armenia, King Levon, was a close friend to King Richard II of England.
